Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since 11 November 1996. After making her feature film debut with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to portray the anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). The other roles she played include Siobhan Donavan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was offered by an experienced photographer. The result was a successful career as a commercial model. Doody strictly avoided glamour, nudity and thongs during her modeling career. After catching the eye of the casting director for the upcoming James Bond movie, she took a part in A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was selected as one of the top twelve promising young actors in the year 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was just turning 18 years old when she took on the character as a Bond girl. Doody is the youngest Bondgirl to date. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a part for Doody as IRA Siobhan. Doody was Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in the television adaptation The Secret Garden. She performed the role of Sapsorrow in an episode of Jim Henson's fantasy series The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the film Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian Nazi-sympathizer and archaeologist opposite Harrison Ford. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. In 1991 Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publication fraud, also known as the Hitler Diaries. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. She went on as Flannery Charlie Sheen's agent as well as partner on the set of Major League II. She was selected as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd, who was L'Oreal's first spokeswoman. After nearly a decade from the stage Doody came back to acting, with a small role in 2003 British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine as her character in the award ceremony scene. She also appeared in 2004 in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She played a role in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. Doody recorded a part in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture. Doody appeared on RTE's Medical drama The Clinic. The project was later canceled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She also appeared on the show in 2014 as We Still Kill the Old Way. The 21st of November, 2018, she received the Almeria Tierra de Cine award and she received an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
