Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed a flair for athletics early on discovering her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks following her first attempt. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed an official contract with Adidas. In 2004 she was enrolled at an institution called the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. A year later Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking the world junior record sprinting 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. The youngest to win the 200 meters at the World Championships held in Helsinki in 2005. She won her medal the following year, defeating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently in the top three of athletes in each of her events.
